System76, the open source supporting computer manufacturer, has announced its new Ubuntu running GPU server called the Ibex Pro. The advanced machine is focused on delivering unmatched performance results through multiple GPUs.

The Ubuntu-backed Ibex Pro is powered by dual Intel Xeon E5 v4 processors along with Intel VT. You can configure it with up to 1.5 TB Quad-channel DDR4 ECC RAM and 32TB of SSD. Notably, the server supports up to eight Nvidia GPUs with 192GB DDR5 and as many as 39,936 CUDA cores.

On the connectivity front, the Ibex Pro gets dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet, 2 PCI express x16 Get expansion slots, two USB 3.0 ports and a VGI port. A massive 1600 watt dual-redundancy power supply powers the system and makes an equally considerable option for bare metal installations.

The machine comes pre-installed with 64-bit of Ubuntu Server 16.04.1 LTS (Xenial Xerus) or Ubuntu Server 16.10 (Yakkety Yak).

“The Ibex Pro GPU server enables our customers to drive advancements in cutting-edge pursuits like machine vision, personalised medicine, artificial intelligence and countless other areas where deep learning is leading the way,” said Carl Pichell, CEO of System76, in a statement.

Buyers can customise Ibex Pro GPU to meet their needs. It is available from the company’s website with a starting price of $9,575 or at a monthly charge of $842.
