A new Android-x86 fork is ready to bring the latest Nougat experience to your PC. The fork includes GApps package to transform your desktop into an Android device.

GNU/Linux developer Arne Exton has announced the new version of his original Android-x86 fork called AndEX Nougat Build 170619. The project is designed to enable Android 7.1.2 Nougat on machines based on x86 architecture. Exton has also provided GApps on the new fork to enable offerings like Google Play services with the new release.

There is Aptoide app manager, Play Games 3.9.08, YouTube 12.14.56, Spotify 8.4.4.810 and SnapTube 4.3.0. Additionally, the latest Android Nougat fork includes File Manager 2.0.0.355, HD Camera Ultra 2.3.1, Firefox 54.0, Rotation Control Pro 1.1.9, Gmail 7.6.4 and Google Maps 9.50.2.

No live USB stick or DVD support

Exton has not provided the option to install the latest Android fork using a live USB stick or DVD. Therefore, you need to perform a fresh installation on your PC.

The new build has been tested on a range of devices from Acer, Dell, Asus, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, Panasonic, Toshiba and Fujitsu laptops. Also, you can even install it on desktop workstations.
