CitiusTech has announced the launch of Medictiv, a first-of-its-kind open healthcare AI model directory to foster cross-industry collaboration and accelerate AI/ML adoption across healthcare organisations. It said that Medictiv contains a curated list of 250+ ready-to-use healthcare AI models, selected after evaluating more than 2,000 research papers, open-source models and commercial algorithms, drawing on CitiusTech’s Data Science expertise and AI/ML engagements with more than 50 healthcare clients.

“AI/ML and predictive analytics will become key enablers of digital transformation in the healthcare industry,” said Bhaskar Sambasivan, President, CitiusTech. “As the demand for viable and proven healthcare AI models grows, Medictiv will deliver significant value to analytics, Data Science and digital innovation teams that are focused on solving key business challenges – by providing a collaborative ecosystem and helping democratize AI in healthcare.”

, Medictiv is a public resource that allows Data Science and digital innovation teams to consume, as well as share, healthcare-specific AI models, public datasets and research papers. It also has a cognitive search feature to quickly identify and leverage models for healthcare use cases across multiple domains, such as oncology, RCM, medical imaging, denials management, chronic condition management, claims, clinical NLP (Natural Language Processing) and readmission management.

CitiusTech is also actively collaborating with specialist healthcare AI companies such as John Snow Labs (a leader in healthcare NLP) who have contributed select Data Science models to Medictiv.

“Healthcare organizations are struggling with ROI for their AI/ML initiatives, as they often underestimate the cost of data, development and validation,” said Sridhar Turaga, Senior Vice President of Data Science and Consulting at CitiusTech, “Leveraging pre-existing and proven models is an excellent way for organizations to accelerate research, reduce time to value and improve overall ROI.”
