The feature is currently accessible for testing by a select group of users who have installed the most recent WhatsApp beta version from the Google Play Store. Over the next few weeks, WhatsApp plans to expand its availability to a broader user base.

Users can join or leave the voice chat without causing disruptions. Call controls remain readily accessible at the top of the chat screen while the voice chat is active, facilitating the exchange of text messages for participants and non-participants.
Meta is launching this voice chat functionality globally, making it available to users on both Android and iOS devices. The rollout begins with larger groups featuring 33 or more members, ensuring that more users benefit from this efficient communication tool.
