Cloudways has introduced Managed AI Agents, offering 1-click MCP integration and automated runtime updates to simplify deploying open-source AI frameworks.

Cloudways, a subsidiary of DigitalOcean Holdings, Inc., officially announced the general availability of Managed AI Agents, a new product line designed to simplify the deployment and management of open-source AI agent runtimes.

The service will be generally available for two well-known open-source projects: OpenClaw (more than 386 thousand GitHub stars) and Hermes (more than 228 thousand GitHub stars). The company also plans to launch the product for other open-source AI agents in the near future.

The product is aimed at developers, engineers, agencies, and digital-native companies that want to take their prototype AI agents to production. This product removes the hassle of deploying and maintaining virtual private servers, containers, gateways, and ports. It also offers managed isolation for every deployment to ensure security.

The platform will provide all the infrastructure necessary for apps as a service, so every customer will have their own isolated environment. Furthermore, agent runtime updates are tested and validated by Cloudways prior to rollout to protect users from broken releases. The solution also features 1-click Cloudways Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, allowing AI agents to interact directly with existing servers and applications running on its ecosystem.

Suhaib Zaheer, SVP of Managed Hosting at DigitalOcean and General Manager at Cloudways, stated that the offering aims to make running AI agents as simple and reliable as deploying traditional web workloads. This product launch serves as the foundation for Cloudways’ broader strategy to extend its managed hosting, billing, and support infrastructure into AI-native workloads and agentic software management.
