Open source Kubernetes platform Devtron unveils Devtron 2.0 at KubeCon North America.
Open source Kubernetes management startup Devtron Inc. has launched Devtron 2.0, a major upgrade to its platform that introduces Agentic SRE, an AI-driven autonomous system designed to optimise Kubernetes performance and costs without human intervention. The announcement was made at KubeCon North America.
Used by over 21,000 organisations globally, Devtron’s open-source platform simplifies Kubernetes-based application management through a unified dashboard for managing multiple clusters, resource visualisation, and integrated security features such as RBAC and single sign-on. It also supports CI/CD tools like ArgoCD and FluxCD to streamline deployments.
Most Devtron users previously relied on more than 15 disconnected tools to manage application code, infrastructure, and costs. Devtron 2.0 consolidates these processes into a single, continuously operating platform that leverages agentic AI for full autonomy.
“Kubernetes made applications and infrastructure inseparable. Every pod defines resources and every deployment affects costs,” explained Ranjan Parthasarathy, Chief Executive, Devtron. “Yet platform teams still use separate tools for monitoring apps, managing infrastructure, and tracking costs.”
The new Agentic SRE provides 24×7 autonomous operations, detects and resolves overloaded nodes or cost spikes instantly, and integrates with KubeVirt to manage virtual machines and containers individually. Automated cost controls, including hibernation and right-sizing, ensure predictable performance and budgets.
Early adopters such as BharatPe Pvt. Ltd. and 73 Strings SAS reported 12x faster release velocity and 70% automation of manual tasks, respectively.
