CNCF has revealed the session lineup for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India 2026, spotlighting how open source technologies such as Kubernetes are powering AI infrastructure and cloud innovation. The Mumbai event will bring global developers and enterprises together to accelerate India’s rapidly growing open-source ecosystem.
The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) has announced the conference sessions for KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India 2026, scheduled for 18–19 June 2026 in Mumbai. The event will bring together technologists, developers, and adopters from global open-source and cloud-native communities to explore how open technologies are shaping the next phase of AI and cloud infrastructure.
CNCF serves as the open-source, vendor-neutral hub of cloud-native computing, hosting widely used infrastructure projects including Kubernetes and Prometheus. These platforms underpin modern distributed systems and cloud environments.
India has emerged as a key centre of open-source innovation. The country ranked fourth globally for newly funded AI companies in 2024, while 76% of Indian startups rely on open-source AI technologies to innovate while controlling costs. The conference aims to accelerate collaboration and knowledge exchange within this rapidly expanding ecosystem.
The two-day programme will feature keynotes, 55 technical sessions, eight lightning talks, and breakout discussions. Core focus areas include AI, observability, platform engineering, operations, security, and cloud-native infrastructure.
“We recently found that while 82% of organizations have adopted Kubernetes for their AI workloads, only 7% are deploying AI on a daily basis,” said Jonathan Bryce, Executive Director, CNCF. “With their global market leadership and ranking third in terms of CNCF committers, Indian contributors are setting the pace for AI-native innovation, which is set to help close this gap. The KubeCon + CloudNativeCon India schedule reinforces and supports the growing need for retraining and upskilling to meet the inference needs of this new era of AI.”
Sessions will explore distributed LLM inferencing on Kubernetes, open observability systems, platform engineering for critical workloads, Kubernetes performance optimisation, and security frameworks such as zero-trust architectures. A Cloud Native Novice track will also introduce newcomers to practical open-source workflows.
Community initiatives include the Dan Kohn Scholarship Program, offering registration and travel support. The event is backed by sponsors including Cast AI, Chainguard, Microsoft Azure, and VMware.
