Nybsys and Cloudly have partnered to deliver a carrier-grade private 5G platform built on Linux Foundation Connectivity open-source projects Magma, Maveric, and Open M-plane, aiming to bring vendor-neutral enterprise networks to production scale.
Nybsys and Cloudly have announced a strategic technology partnership at Mobile World Congress 2026 to deliver enterprise-scale private 5G networks built on an open-source software stack combined with small-cell hardware.
The joint solution integrates Nybsys’ small-cell infrastructure with CloudlyNet, Cloudly’s production-ready platform built on Linux Foundation Connectivity open-source projects Magma, Maveric, and Open M-plane. Together, the companies aim to deliver a fully open, carrier-grade private 5G architecture for enterprises and telecom operators.
Magma, originally developed by Meta and now stewarded by the Linux Foundation, provides an open-source mobile packet core supporting 4G LTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA. Open M-plane introduces standards-based RAN management aligned with O-RAN Alliance specifications, enabling multi-vendor interoperability. Maveric adds AI-driven network optimisation, using machine learning to analyse network data, tune parameters, balance capacity, and reduce dropped calls.
Nybsys contributes the infrastructure layer, including NanoLink and MicroLink small cells supporting 4G and 5G across indoor enterprise and outdoor industrial environments. The portfolio also includes Private 5G Express, an all-in-one network deployable in under ten minutes, the Aegis security suite providing end-to-end encryption and zero-trust protection, and the EdgeLink O-RAN platform supporting high-precision device positioning and ultra-low latency applications.
The open architecture is designed to provide vendor-neutral deployment, community-driven development, transparency, and lower total cost of ownership, with deployments potentially reducing costs by up to 30 per cent compared with legacy systems.
“Small cells have always been at the heart of Nybsys. With NanoLink, MicroLink, and Private 5G Express, we’ve built on years of real-world deployment experience across three continents to deliver open, scalable networks that truly work in the field. Partnering with Cloudly to integrate CloudlyNet’s open-source intelligence is a natural next step. Together, we’re delivering the kind of full-stack, open-architecture solution that operators and enterprises have been asking for — and we’re proud to showcase that vision at MWC Barcelona 2026,” said Moshtaq Ahmed, CEO & Founder, Nybsys.
The platform targets deployments across manufacturing, logistics hubs, warehouses, healthcare facilities, ports, public safety networks, and private enterprise campuses.
“The Linux Foundation Connectivity open-source ecosystem — Magma, Maveric, and Open M-plane — represents the best of what the industry has built together. CloudlyNet packages that ecosystem into a production-ready software suite. When you pair that with Nybsys’ platform — a team that has been deploying private cellular networks in some of the world’s most demanding environments — you get something genuinely differentiated: a private 5G stack that is open-source all the way down, carrier-grade in performance, and deployable at a fraction of what legacy approaches cost. This partnership is a statement about how we believe the industry should move forward,” said Mansoor Khan, CSGO, CloudlyIO, Inc.
The integrated solution was demonstrated at the Nybsys booth during Mobile World Congress 2026 and will be available globally across North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa.
