VeritasChain has released open source VCP v1.1, delivering reproducible, cryptographically verifiable AI trading audit trails for MetaTrader 5.

VeritasChain Standards Organization (VSO) has released VeritasChain Protocol (VCP) v1.1, alongside a publicly available open-source Evidence Pack and supporting Evidence Report, documenting what it claims is the world’s first cryptographically verifiable AI decision audit trail implementation for MetaTrader 5 (MT5).

VCP v1.1 enables cryptographically verifiable audit trails for algorithmic and AI-driven trading systems, allowing third parties to independently verify that recorded trading and AI decision events were neither altered nor selectively omitted. This addresses a longstanding weakness in traditional trading logs, which can be modified or partially disclosed after execution without reliable detection.

A central differentiator of the release is the production-grade, open source Evidence Pack, demonstrated in a live MT5 environment. The implementation uses a non-invasive sidecar architecture that operates independently of the trading platform, requiring no modifications to the MT5 terminal or broker infrastructure. AI decision signals, order lifecycle events, and execution outcomes are recorded externally, cryptographically hashed, organised into Merkle trees, and anchored to support independent verification, without impacting trading execution.

VCP v1.1 is a protocol-compatible evolution of VCP v1.0, incorporating input from IETF technical discussions and feedback from early adopters in live trading environments. Certification requirements have been strengthened while maintaining backward compatibility and a defined transition period.

To support its “world’s first” claim, VSO has published an open source Evidence Report documenting three independent prior-art analyses, all concluding that no publicly documented system combines MT4/MT5 integration, cryptographic verification, AI decision logging, production-grade deployment, and a non-invasive sidecar architecture.

“VCP v1.1 demonstrates that verifiable AI audit trails are not theoretical. They can be implemented today in live trading systems without modifying existing platforms,” said Tokachi Kamimura, Founder, VeritasChain Standards Organization.
The open-source release is positioned to support regulatory transparency under MiFID II and the EU AI Act, while remaining vendor-neutral and implementation-agnostic.
