Bengaluru to Host First OpenChain India Working Group Meet-Up on Sept 7

OpenChain Project is one of the Linux Foundation Projects that identifies key recommended processes for effective open source management.

Mishi Choudhary & Associates, the India law firm partner of OpenChain Project, is hosting the first OpenChain India Working Group Meet-Up in Bengaluru on September 7, 2019.

Open source enthusiasts, tech-companies building or using products on open source and entities interested in learning more on open source compliance are expected to participate in the meeting. The event would also include a session on data protection and India’s anticipated data protection legislation.

“The OpenChain Project builds trust in open source by making compliance simpler and more consistent. This working group meet will provide a powerful platform for learning and exchange of ideas on open source compliance to India’s vibrant open source community and participants of software supply chain,” said Mishi Choudhary, Managing Partner, Mishi Choudhary & Associates.

Event highlights 

The event would include sessions and case studies on open source compliance and services provided by OpenChain Project such as OpenChain Conformance, which helps organizations adhere to compliance requirements, and OpenChain Certification, which identifies core requirements of quality compliance program.

There would be discussions on OpenChain Project’s industry standard for managing compliance throughout the supply chain.

OpenChain Project is one of the Linux Foundation Projects, which identifies key recommended processes for effective open source management. It is centred on managing enterprise compliance in open source supply chains. The project is described as “a community effort to establish best practices for effective management of open source software compliance.”
