ADASpace, a Chengdu-based commercial space firm, became the sole Chinese enterprise honoured in space computing at the 2026 AI for Good Global Summit.

At the 2026 AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, Chinese commercial space firm ADASpace won global recognition. The company’s ‘Open-source Satellite Design Platform for AI Constellations’ was selected for inclusion in the AI for Good Innovate for Impact Report 2026. The Summit ran from 7 July to 10 July 2026 in Geneva.

ADASpace was the only Chinese enterprise named a ‘best global case’ in the highly specialised space computing and ambient intelligence categories. The event was hosted by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), a dedicated United Nations agency.

ADASpace is a private, commercial space company based in Chengdu, China. The open-source platform is designed to tackle primary bottlenecks in the commercial space sector, such as long research and development (R&D) cycles, high development costs, and tight hardware–software coupling. Once fully operational, the platform will offer standardised hardware reference designs and rapid integration solutions.

The platform aims to support the mass production of mega satellite constellations across communications, remote sensing, and the Internet of Things (IoT). It also aims to enhance a satellite’s on-orbit data processing and boost autonomous operations via low-latency AI inference. Primary real-world applications include target identification, disaster monitoring, and environmental change analysis.

The summit acts as a major global cooperation platform aimed at aligning AI innovation with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The Innovate for Impact Report reviewed a total of 489 AI application cases worldwide, ultimately selecting more than 50 ‘best global cases’ across nine distinct fields, including generative AI, embodied intelligence, AI agents, and space computing.
