Additionally, a shaped gradient fill and numerous significant upgrades are included in this version.

A new version of the cross-platform, open source, free digital painting and drawing app Tux Paint for kids is now accessible. About ten months after Tux Paint 0.9.28, Tux Paint 0.9.29 is here with fifteen new Magic Tools, such as Maze for creating random mazes, Googly Eyes for adding eyeballs to your creations, Fur for adding fur to a drawing, and Circles and Rays for adding brush stroke effects.

The following new Magic Tools are part of this release: Saturate and Desaturate, a tool to increase and decrease colour saturation; Double Vision, a tool to simulate diplopia; 3D Glasses, a tool to create 3D images that can be viewed with those red/cyan anaglyph glasses. Other tools include Kaleido-4, Kaleido-6, and Kaleido-8 for transforming images to be viewed through 45, 60, or 90 degree kaleidoscopes, and Bloom for adding a glowing “bloom” diffraction effect. Remove Color and Keep Color let you fully desaturate sections of an image that match a chosen colour.

Support for rotating stamps enhances the Stamp tool in Tux Paint 0.9.29. You can rotate objects using this function before stamping them onto the canvas. Additionally, a shaped gradient fill is now possible with the new Fill tool. This update to the rainbow colour picker makes it simpler to apply subtle adjustments to any color, significantly enhances the functionality of the Shapes tool, and adds new options for defining how template images should be scaled, positioned, and smeared, as well as for automatically selecting the most appropriate size for UI elements based on screen resolution, among other notable changes.

Tux Paint 0.9.29 also includes a quick-start guide that quickly explains the features of the programme in addition to a new keyboard shortcut for quicker access to the Eraser tool while drawing with other tools. Look over the complete update for more information. Tux Paint 0.9.29 is currently available for download from the official website as RPM packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems, a source tarball for those who want to build the programme themselves, and a Flatpak app from Flathub.
