Highgo highlights Chinese open source power by promoting IvorySQL at GITEX 2025, advancing its global PostgreSQL contributions and expanding into the Middle East.
Chinese open source innovation took centre stage at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 as Highgo Database introduced its flagship product, the IvorySQL Open-Source Database, to a global audience in Dubai. The company reinforced its commitment to community-driven development and international collaboration, showcasing the strength of Chinese contributions to the global database ecosystem.
Highgo has become a major force within the PostgreSQL community, actively supporting core development while advancing the mission of “Linking the world through open-source.” The company has contributed more than 1.5 million lines of code, over 100 technical articles, and upwards of 800 patches and bug fixes to PostgreSQL, strengthening the open source foundation that powers IvorySQL.
Built on the latest PostgreSQL kernel, IvorySQL offers rapid version synchronisation, full native PostgreSQL compatibility, and broad support for existing tools and extensions. Its dual-parser architecture and comprehensive Oracle compatibility give enterprises greater flexibility during migration, making it a robust, scalable data platform for modern workloads.
With the theme “AI Everywhere,” GITEX 2025 drew more than 6,800 tech companies and 2,000 startups from over 180 countries, offering Highgo a strong launchpad to scale its presence across the Middle East. The region plays a strategic role in the Belt and Road initiative, and Highgo demonstrated a powerful blend of technology output, industry application, and service support designed for international growth.
