Gigabyte has announced the launch of its new motherboards to target 3D designers and digital artists. Called the x99-Designare EX and Z170X-Designare, the new models are based on Intel X99 and Z170 chipsets and support Intel’s fifth and sixth generation Core processors.
To offer maximise performance to content creators, the new Gigabyte motherboards have support for DDR4 memory and intrinsic compatibility with Intel 750 series NVMe SSDs. There are also offerings like USB 3.1 support over USB Type-C and PCIe drive option.
“With the X99-Designare EX and the Z170X-Designare,” says Henry Kao, VP of Gigabyte Motherboard Business, “We’ve put together a combination of innovative features which results in a product that truly let the creative minds bring their projects to reality.”
Gigabyte X99-Designare EX
The Gigabyte X99-Designare EX supports a 10-core processor and comes with compatibility for Intel’s 2.5 NVMe SSDs. Also, it has dual-Intel LAN, 3-way SLI/CrossFire multi-graphics support and 8-Dimm slots.
Gigabyte has provided an option to let the motherboard operate with XMP on G.Skill’s F4-3600C 15Q2-64GTZKB modules at 3.6GHz speed. This enables a faster experience without the need for any pro-overclocker.
The Gigabyte Z170X-Designare comes preloaded with Power Delivery 2.0 to support up to 100W of power via Intel-powered USB Type-C port. Additionally, there are dual-Intel LANs with cFosSpeed software to deliver high-speed internet access.
New gaming offerings also in line
Similar to the new models for designers and artists, Gigabyte has also unveiled its new Ultra Gaming line of motherboards for gamers and enthusiasts with Intel X99 and Z170 platforms. Both the new models have support for advanced content like Virtual Reality (VR) and 4K. Moreover, the company has provided hybrid Fan Pin headers and an onboard U.2 connector to upgrade your existing gaming experience.
