CNCF and Linux Foundation Education have partnered with Udemy to create a unified training and certification pathway, aiming to expand access to Kubernetes and cloud-native open-source skills while helping meet growing industry demand for certified talent.
The Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and Linux Foundation Education have partnered with Udemy to expand access to Kubernetes and cloud-native open-source training through a unified learning and certification pathway.
The initiative is designed to make cloud-native education and certification more accessible by bringing training and recognised certification opportunities together on a single platform. The partnership focuses on CNCF’s cloud-native open-source ecosystem, including Kubernetes and other technologies governed by the foundation.
Through the programme, learners can prepare for industry-recognised CNCF and Linux Foundation certifications using Udemy courses and transition more directly from training to credentialing. The approach aims to reduce fragmentation between learning and certification while simplifying the skills-development journey.
The collaboration could significantly broaden the reach of CNCF certifications by exposing them to Udemy’s global learner community, helping drive wider adoption of Kubernetes and cloud-native skills worldwide.
It also addresses growing demand from enterprises for professionals skilled in cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, DevOps and related technologies. By expanding access to vendor-neutral certifications, the programme strengthens the talent pipeline supporting open-source cloud-native technologies.
The partnership builds on CNCF’s broader strategy of expanding access to cloud-native education and certification programmes through collaborations with training providers across different regions and markets.
