An open-source audio toolkit combines advanced audio analysis, music playback, and AI-generated audio detection to help users inspect, organise, and verify audio files.

AudioAuditor is a free and open-source toolkit that integrates audio playback with a comprehensive set of audio analysis features. Designed for music producers, audio engineers, and enthusiasts, the software provides tools for analysing audio quality, identifying audio file characteristics, and managing music libraries from a single application. The desktop version currently supports Windows, while the command-line interface (CLI) is available for both Windows and Linux, with macOS support planned.

Spectral analysis, fake stereo, fake lossless detection, MQA, clipping detection, loudness and dynamics measuring, silence gap detection and AcoustID fingerprinting are some of the functions available in the toolkit. It also offers metadata editing, batch processing, duplicate detection, playlist management, MusicBrainz and tools for identifying unknown tracks. The toolkit comes with an AI detector, which is currently in its beta stage, and it analyses metadata, byte patterns, AI watermarks and audio properties to estimate whether the audio has been generated using artificial intelligence.

The AudioAuditor application offers a high-resolution audio player with support for more than 30 audio formats, a ten-band parametric equaliser, custom crossfade, peak-based audio normalisation and visualisation modes. Other features include spectrogram and waveform comparison, karaoke, lyric translation, and integration with selected music services.

This application was designed with privacy in mind and operates without telemetry or usage tracking. Network activity is optional and is limited to user-enabled services, such as music searching, Discord integration, or AI-generated music detection, whereas the offline mode disables all external connections.

By combining audio playback, audio analysis, AI-generated audio detection, and privacy-focused operation, AudioAuditor provides a unified environment for managing digital audio collections.
