CoinFello has open sourced an OpenClaw skill under the MIT licence that allows AI agents to securely execute blockchain transactions using delegated permissions through MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit.

CoinFello has unveiled an open source OpenClaw skill designed to enable AI agents to execute on-chain transactions securely. Released under the MIT licence, the software allows developers to use, modify, and extend the code while integrating with the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit to support secure blockchain automation.

The skill is built for Moltbots AI agents and forms part of the growing OpenClaw ecosystem, enabling agents to interact with blockchain infrastructure without exposing private keys.
The framework follows a security-focused architecture in which private signing keys remain on the user’s device while transactions are executed using delegated smart wallet permissions. This model allows AI agents to perform blockchain operations while maintaining user custody of keys.

The system is built on ERC-4337 smart accounts and the ERC-7710 delegation framework, implemented through the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit. CoinFello converts natural-language user requests into delegated blockchain transactions, which are validated before execution under a least-privilege access model, reducing exposure of private keys and API credentials.

Using natural-language prompts, Moltbots can execute a range of blockchain operations, including ERC-20 token swaps, cross-chain bridging, NFT interactions, staking, lending, portfolio rebalancing, and multi-step trading strategies.

Developer interest in the OpenClaw ecosystem is growing rapidly, with over 150,000 GitHub stars, 22,000 forks, and more than 416,000 npm downloads in the past month. The skill follows the Agent Skills specification, works with OpenClaw environments and Claude Code, and is released for developer use and modification.

According to Brett Cleary: “The CoinFello Skill introduces hardware-isolated keys and fine-grained delegations, giving AI agents a secure way to execute transactions while helping bootstrap onchain capabilities for the broader agent ecosystem.”

CoinFello said Moltbots will also be able to delegate permissions to compatible on-chain agents, with future updates focused on expanded permission frameworks and deeper integration with the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit.
