Flatpak sandboxing tool gets upgraded support for OpenGL drivers

Open source application sandboxing and distribution framework Flatpak has received a new update that enhances OpenGL support. The new version works with OpenGL drivers out of the box.

Flatpak 0.8.3 is the latest release for Linux platform. This update has a handful of improvements, and the out-of-tree OpenGL drivers comes on the top. Alongside other graphics drivers, the new release has support for Nvidia hardware ease your app virtualisation experience.

The official release note published by GNOME developer Alex Larsson also talks about some major changes in overall performance and the improved handling of extra-data errors and buildsystem=cmake builds.

The new Flatpak stable release additionally improves UID and GID for directories. The flatpack list command bug has also been fixed. That bug was breaking the application if a certain local reference is deployed.

Flatpak 0.8.3 is a second maintenance update in last 30 days. You can download its code from the official Flatpak GitHub page. It also includes necessary documentation the entire changelog.
