Open source native multi-model database, ArangoDB has launched ArangoDB Oasis which is a first fully-hosted, managed and monitored native multi-model database service as per ArangoDB. ArangoDB Oasis will run the Enterprise version of ArangoDB and bring all the features of native multi-model to the cloud. ArangoDB has made ArangoDB Oasis available on GoogleCloud, Amazon web services (AWS). It has also made it available in many regions in the US and EU for these cloud providers . The pricing for this service has been done on an hourly basis.

Claudius Weinberger, CEO and co-founder of ArangoDB, says, “Our core belief is developers must be able to easily leverage the right data model for the right job without the complexity of navigating between different databases. ArangoDB Oasis makes this vision more of a reality by lifting the burden of database administration and maintenance from organizations, allowing them to focus on their core competency: brilliant application development and delivery.”

Cluster deployments on a cloud platform

ArangoDB says it unites graph, document, value data models with a full-text search engine, in a single core with the same query language which gives developers flexibility and efficiency when building their applications. ArangoDB Oasis will provide developers an easy way to spin up clusters of any size, at any time, for as long as needed claims ArangoDB.

One of the key features of ArangoDB Oasis is cluster deployments on a cloud platform of choice. It will let users set up ready-to-go clusters in minutes and choose whether to run on Amazon Web Services , Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure ( Azure will be added soon). It also allows for OneShard deployments where it will allow users to run scalable, fault-tolerant deployments with the transactional and performance characteristics of a single instance setup.
