IIT Roorkee and TeamLease EdTech have launched a six-month executive programme to equip professionals with practical skills in open-source AI, LLMs and digital commerce technologies for the rapidly growing e-commerce and quick-commerce sectors.
IIT Roorkee has partnered with TeamLease EdTech to launch a six-month Executive Program in AI for E-Commerce & Quick Commerce, bringing open-source AI and large language model (LLM) training to professionals working across India’s expanding digital commerce sector.
Designed for working professionals, the programme aims to build practical AI capabilities that can be applied directly to e-commerce and quick-commerce operations. A key focus of the curriculum is exposure to open-source AI technologies, including open-source LLMs, OpenSearch, LLM-based chatbots and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures.
Participants will also gain hands-on experience with tools and platforms such as Python, Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, Power BI and Tableau, alongside broader generative AI technologies.
The curriculum covers AI foundations, machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, data pipelines, customer segmentation, recommendation systems, demand forecasting, inventory planning, dynamic pricing, fraud detection, customer analytics and business storytelling.
Real-world business challenges involving customer intelligence, pricing optimisation, churn prediction and recommendation systems will be addressed through hands-on learning exercises and a capstone project.

The programme will be delivered through live online classes, with an optional campus immersion at IIT Roorkee. Successful participants will receive a certificate from the Continuing Education Centre, IIT Roorkee.
