ReCamera Pro from Seeed Studio is an open-source AI camera designed for edge computing that integrates the functionality of computer vision, speech processing, and language models. Based on an embedded AI processor with an NPU, this solution allows implementing AI-based workloads offline without reliance on any cloud service providers.

It supports applications such as object detection, vision-language models (VLM), large language models (LLM), speech-to-text (STT), and text-to-speech (TTS). It also features built-in audio hardware, so the camera can be used for voice interaction together with AI-based image recognition.

Intended for embedded computing and development, it features expansion interfaces, networking, and software for easy integration with industrial machinery and IoT systems. It also supports connecting with other hardware and developing custom AI systems using popular machine learning frameworks.

The unit can be triggered by events such as object detection, audio detection, GPIO inputs, scheduled events, and network events. Moreover, it is capable of supporting industry-standard communication protocols enabling easy integration of the unit with network video recorders, programmable logic controllers, and IoT platforms.

AI models can be uploaded, configured and monitored through a web application, where the user could upload models and modify the inference parameters. Moreover, advanced users could customize applications via web APIs using HTTP protocol.

The platform is intended for edge AI applications such as smart surveillance, industrial automation, robotics, and embedded vision systems.
