Tyche is an open-source Python library that provides foundational programming structures for quantum states and measurements, forming part of Spooqy Technology’s wider quantum software ecosystem.
Spooqy Technology has released Tyche, an open-source Python library designed to provide the foundation for working with quantum states and measurements. The library forms part of the company’s broader software roadmap, which also includes Eris, another open-source library intended to build contextual quantum applications on top of Tyche.
Tyche provides the algorithms and data structures needed to represent programmable quantum objects. The framework acts as a basic programming layer for quantum states and measurements, while Eris builds on this foundation to address problems related to contextuality, which Spooqy identifies as an important aspect of quantum mechanics for developing applications.
Both platforms have been developed with the aim of keeping the software freely available to users. According to Spooqy, the company does not impose a licence on the use of these platforms. The open-source approach allows users to work with and manipulate quantum-information data structures. Spooqy also provides an Application Programming Interface (API) for connecting with the platforms, along with a web portal that provides access to AI tools and educational material.
Tyche and Eris form part of a larger compilation stack being developed by Spooqy. The company plans to use this stack to convert high-level application designs into hardware blueprints based on contextual design and quantum computation. Some features of the compilation stack may be provided through Spooqy Cloud services, while more advanced functionality is planned for designing customised applications.
Spooqy is also researching the use of Agentic AI for developing quantum-computing protocols, with the goal of connecting software development with hardware manufacturing. The planned pipeline would allow quantum applications to progress from software and protocol development towards hardware. Tyche and Eris therefore serve as the open-source foundation for Spooqy’s broader work on quantum applications and its longer-term plans for quantum hardware development.
