Zectrix has introduced the Note 4, a 4.2-inch wireless ePaper display built around the ESP32-S3 microcontroller. Designed for developers and makers, the device supports voice-based applications through an integrated microphone and speaker while providing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The device is intended for information displays, AI-assisted productivity, home automation, and custom embedded projects.
The device has a 400 x 300 black-and-white ePaper screen, 16 MB flash memory, 8 MB PSRAM, rechargeable battery, NFC, USB Type-C, and expansion connectors. With a magnetic cover, the device can be placed on any metallic surface, making it suitable for dashboards, reminders, and smart displays.
One of the main advantages of the platform is its support for multiple open-source firmware projects. The device is compatible with various open-source firmware projects ranging from voice assistants and AI programming platforms to accounting programs and custom display interfaces. Users may choose firmware that best suits their needs or develop custom applications using the provided development tools.
