OpenMousse is an open-source keyboard configuration project being developed to provide users with an alternative to proprietary keyboard configuration software. The project is designed to expose keyboard settings through an open interface, with support for the Wooting 60HE among the hardware being targeted. The Wooting 60HE uses Hall-effect sensing and supports configurable actuation and rapid-trigger features.
The project focuses on giving users greater control over keyboard configuration without depending entirely on a manufacturer’s software. Wooting keyboards already provide extensive software-based configuration, including per-key actuation adjustment, rapid trigger and analogue input features.
