Bitwave has open-sourced two core AI accounting tools—Bitwave CLI and KubeClaw—to help developers and enterprises build transparent, agent-native financial workflows for autonomous AI systems.

Bitwave has launched Bitwave Agentic, a new suite of AI-native financial operations tools, while open-sourcing two key components—Bitwave CLI and KubeClaw—to accelerate the development of agent-native accounting infrastructure.

The company is inviting developers, finance teams and accounting professionals to experiment with, extend and contribute to the open-source projects. Bitwave CLI is an agent-native accounting system that enables AI agents to perform accounting locally, create complete accounting books, generate expense reports, manage traditional and digital asset accounting, and optionally synchronise work with Bitwave’s hosted platform.

KubeClaw provides a self-hosted Kubernetes environment for organisations that require controlled, regulated deployment of autonomous finance agents with greater visibility and governance.

The broader Bitwave Agentic suite also includes Bitwave MCP, which connects AI agents with Bitwave financial workflows, and Bitwave Data and Analytics, offering normalised blockchain data and SQL-based analytics across Ethereum, Base and Berachain. The model-agnostic platform supports multiple AI models and agent frameworks rather than locking organisations into a single provider.

“AI agents are becoming participants in real business workflows, but they still need a practical way to create and share accounting work,” said Patrick White, CEO and Co-Founder of Bitwave. “We believe agents won’t interact with accounting software the same way humans do. They’ll use code, structured interfaces, and programmable workflows. Bitwave Agentic is our approach to building the financial infrastructure for that future.”

Bitwave said the tools target use cases including expense reporting, corporate accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, treasury monitoring and blockchain analytics, while keeping human operators involved in reviewing AI-generated accounting work.
