Open Source AI Agents Enter The Enterprise As Nvidia Plans Collaborative ‘NemoClaw’ Platform

Nvidia is reportedly preparing an open source AI agent platform, NemoClaw, aimed at enterprise software ecosystems. The initiative seeks to foster collaborative development while enabling companies to deploy autonomous AI agents for complex workflows.

Nvidia is reportedly preparing to launch an open-source artificial intelligence agent platform called NemoClaw, targeting enterprise software ecosystems. According to a report by Wired, citing anonymous sources familiar with the matter, the company has begun pitching the platform to major enterprise technology providers.

NemoClaw is expected to adopt an open-source collaboration model, allowing enterprise partners free access to the platform. Early access may be granted in exchange for contributions to the project’s development. Nvidia has reportedly approached companies including Salesforce, Cisco, Google, Adobe, and CrowdStrike, although no official partnerships have been confirmed.

The platform is designed to enable organisations to deploy AI agents capable of performing tasks for employees and automating complex, multi-step workflows. These agents are expected to demonstrate reasoning, planning, and autonomous action capabilities.

NemoClaw will also include built-in security and privacy tools, addressing concerns raised about security risks associated with early open-source AI agent frameworks.

Importantly, the platform is expected to function regardless of whether enterprise products run on Nvidia hardware, potentially widening adoption.

The initiative aligns with Nvidia’s broader push into AI agent technologies. The company has recently introduced foundational models such as Nemotron and Cosmos, while expanding its NeMo platform to support the entire AI agent lifecycle, from data curation and customisation to monitoring and optimisation.

The move also reflects a broader industry shift from general large language models toward specialised AI agents capable of executing complex tasks. NemoClaw draws inspiration from the rise of “claw”-style open-source agents popularised by the OpenClaw project, which earlier gained attention before being acquired by OpenAI.

The development comes ahead of Nvidia’s annual developer conference in San Jose next week, where the company is expected to outline new hardware and software roadmaps.
